Position Overview
Webstacks is a fast-growing tech start-up that is seeking a Culture and Office Coordinator to join our amazing team! We are looking for an exceptional candidate who has a creative eye, an interest in event planning, and a willingness to wear many hats. This person should have excellent organizational skills, a talent for hosting fun events to foster team bonding, as well as the ability to be flexible and think outside the box. Above all, we are looking for someone who can help foster a sense of belonging for all team members by creating an inclusive and supportive work environment.

Details of the role
- Job Title: Culture and Office Coordinator
- Location: Downtown San Diego, On-site.
- Pay: $20-$23/hour
- Schedule: Part-time to start up to 30 hours / week
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
General
- Oversee day-to-day operations that include but are not limited to: Snack/drink restocking, handling mail and deliveries, light cleaning, maintenance and repair outreach, and supply inventory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including our awesome employees, outside vendors, and building management.
- Make sure we are in great shape by staying on top of office policies and procedures, even creating a few Standard Operating Procedures of your own.
- Manage our office budget and ensure all spending related to employee experience and office needs aligns with our company’s financial goals.
- Problem solving any challenges or issues that may come your way in a timely and effective manner.
- General upkeep of office inventory and technology.
Employee Experience
- Cultivate an environment that inspires employee creativity, innovation, and excellence in their work.
- Working cross-functionally with other teams and ensuring seamless communication and coordination for office-related activities.
- Ensuring coworkers have a functional and productive work environment, which could include making improvements to the office space.
- Continuously working to make Webstacks a safe space for all by implementing and at times spearheading new DEIB (Diversity, Equality, Inclusion, & Belgoning) initiatives.
- Create fun and engaging Slack posts to inform team members of culture events, upcoming team outings, and general office updates.
Objectives of this Role
- Stay on top of all things office-related, including inventory for supplies and maintenance.
- Maintain office workflow, refining standard operating procedures, and being a liaison for communications, office layout, etc.
- Be the eyes and ears of the office, providing information, answering questions, and responding to requests.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuous effort to improve our office environment by gathering feedback, problem-solving, and creative thinking.
- Creating and maintaining a fun enjoyable work environment for anyone who visits the office!
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma required, college/university degree preferred.
- Ability to multitask, effectively manage time, and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Google Suites and Mac OS, with an aptitude to learn new software and systems.
- Knowledge of Notion, Figma, and Canva is a plus but not required.
- Comfortable handling confidential information.
- Optimistic attitude during times of stress.
- Must be able to move 50 lbs, bend, stretch, and stand for extended periods.
- Must be located in the San Diego region or be willing to commute.
The Worst Parts of this Job
- Wearing many hats is challenging. As the Culture and Community Coordinator, you are the first point of contact in the office. You will need to have a grounded understanding and pulse check for all work that is happening, at all times.
- Frequent reminders and follow-up. Team members get busy, which means office cleanliness and prompt communication could fall by the wayside. You will need to maintain a clean office while gently reminding co-workers to do the same.
