We are seeking a motivated Senior DevOps and Quality Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the infrastructure and processes that ensure the seamless integration, deployment, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between development and operations by automating and optimizing the CI/CD pipeline, enhancing system reliability, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Develop and implement automated testing framework(s) for functional, regression, and performance testing 
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure high-quality releases
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify and implement automation opportunities 
  • Monitor and analyze test results to identify areas for improvement 
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery 
  • Implement best practices for version control, branching, and merging strategies
  • Integrate tools and processes to automate build, test, and deployment workflows 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CI/CD pipelines and workflows
  • Manage and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure to support development and production environments 
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) 
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, scalability, and security to ensure optimal operation 
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning meetings
  • Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap for the organization
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in DevOps and quality automation
  • Assist other departments with role-related activities including but not limited to participating in onsite go-live, presenting material or workshops during conferences or events

Desired Qualifications/Skills

  • Programming Languages: C#, SQL, JavaScript [AngularJS]
  • Azure cloud, Azure DevOps, Git
  • Application Testing Frameworks [Selenium, Protractor, Cypress, etc.] and continuous testing practices
  • Problem solving, collaboration, leadership, adaptability, documentation
  • Microsoft or other certifications (optional, but preferred)

Requirements

  • 5-7 years in DevOps with strong focus on automation and quality engineering 
  • Proficiency using Azure DevOps [TFS] both on-premises and/or in cloud 
  • Prior work with Microsoft Partner organization is advantageous 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field is preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit at a desk, computer terminal or meeting table for a long period of time 
  • Ability to use hands and fingers or adoptive equipment to safely operate assigned equipment 
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs. 
  • Ability to use telephone frequently for a long period of time, and to hear and speak clearly by telephone

Location and CompensationThis is a hybrid-remote role; candidates based in San Diego county are expected to work a minimum of one day per week in the office, those residing outside of San Diego county will be considered fully remote. The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.In addition to our comprehensive benefit package, our company encourages and supports career development.
