Position Summary 


SIG is hiring an experienced Ellucian Banner Document Management Consultant to provide expert support and consulting services in the implementation, configuration, and management of document management solutions integrated with the Ellucian Banner ERP system. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Ellucian Banner, as well as hands-on experience with Banner Document Management (BDM) or ApplicationXtender. This consultant will play a key role in helping higher education institutions streamline their document management processes.

This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities


  • Installation and Configuration of OpenText ApplicationXtender (AX) and BDM
  • Install BDM into the Banner database, upgrade to the latest version, and apply necessary patches.
  • Download AX 20.3 and 20.4 software, patches, and hot-fixes from the Ellucian support site.
  • Install ODAC (32 and 64-bit) and configure IIS.
  • Set up and configure rights assignments for impersonation users.
  • Install and configure AX 20.4 software, patches, and WX hot-fixes.
  • Verify AX configuration, including SSO, and conduct initial troubleshooting with IT staff.
  • Release AX installation for UAT and handle the handover process.
  • Banner Document Management (BDM) Implementation:
  • Conduct BDM Needs Analysis for multiple business areas within the college or university
  • Write up recommendations and a roll-out plan for BDM Needs Analysis.
  • Configure BDM remotely, including document types, linking rules (ESRLINK), users, and security groups.
  • Training and Support:
  • Provide training for each business area, specific to their applications.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and ongoing support for document management systems.

Required Qualifications


  • 5 or more years working within the Higher Education Industry.
  • 5+ years experience with Ellucian Banner ERP systems, focusing on Banner Document Management (BDM) and OpenText ApplicationXtender (AX).
  • Experience with document management implementations in higher education environments.
  • Strong understanding of Banner modules (Student, Financial Aid, Finance, HR, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with BDM, AX 20.3 and 20.4, IIS, ODAC, and SSO configurations.
  • Familiarity with SQL, PL/SQL, or similar languages for troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of document imaging, workflow automation, and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications


  • The ability to occasionally travel onsite
  • Experience with Banner upgrades and migrations

Pay and Benefits


  • The salary range is $50-$65 per hour

The listed salary range for this position is indicative and subject to adjustment based on the candidate's unique skills and location.
