Job Description:
The Procedure Writer is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining detailed and clear procedural documents for the Operations areas of the business. This role involves collaborating with various departments to gather information, understand workflows, and translate complex processes into easy-to-follow instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and write clear, concise, and comprehensive procedural documents and manuals
- Collaborate with various departments and subject matter experts to gather and validate process information
- Review and analyze current procedures to identify areas for improvement or updates
- Ensure all procedures are in compliance with industry standards and company policies
- Present procedure updates to appropriate leadership group for approval and publication
- Maintain a centralized repository of all procedural documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Other Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven experience in technical writing, documentation, or a similar role
- Strong ability to ensure accuracy and clarity in all documents
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
- Ability to analyze processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple documentation projects and deadlines
- Ability to work independently and with other business areas
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Critical thinking, good judgement, adhering to companies’ ethics policy
Bonus Points if You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or related field
- Experience with ticketing management systems (e.g., ZenDesk)
- Experience in the loan servicing industry
