The role of the Project Director at Wildcat Discovery Technologies is central to our R&D, pilot, and commercial projects. The Project Director will work closely with our engineering and business teams to plan, manage, and report on several projects, which involve the development, validation, and commercialization of our cathode material. Wildcat has an array of projects of varying complexity in various stages of execution. A strong project and business management skill set is needed to support, organize, and coordinate the execution of our projects.

Our commitment lies in the discovery and development of advanced materials for lithium-ion batteries. We follow three strategic paths:
Collaborating on projects to enhance battery performance through material optimization.Developing proprietary battery materials for next-generation electrodes and electrolytes.Preparing to launch a series of cathode active materials.Wildcat collaborates with industry leaders around the world to develop promising new materials for rechargeable and primary battery technologies using our state-of-the-art high throughput platform (HTP) combinational chemistry. Our team of industry-leading scientists and engineers synthesize and test thousands of battery materials ten times faster than conventional research. Essential Functions
- Examines engineering designs to identify opportunities to improve value or reduce costs using value engineering techniques.
- Execute and manage construction and all contractors for cost, schedule and scope completion.
- Defines overall contracting strategy and leads negotiations.
- Convenes cross-functional leadership team to deliver area (including administrative, environmental, engineering, QA/QC and Program Controls and Contracting)
- Establishes clear Safety and Risk management priorities.
- Reviews engineering, procurement and construction contracts.
- Coordinate and is involved in all major decisions.
- Manages day to day priorities and strategy as related to the area.
- Defines/orchestrates overall project plan schedule.
- Reports progress to/serves as an interface with senior management.
- Manages day to day priorities and strategy as related to the area.
- Convenes technical expert review where needed.
- Convenes working group meetings with functional teams and direct reports.
- Leads or attends specific meeting forums across functions to ensure cross functional communications and resolution of issues.
- Ensures compliance with company standard procedures and processes.
- Oversees performance management and adherence to standards across the project delivery organization.
- Provides consistent coaching, training, guidance and overall direction to a project team.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- General management skills: lead large teams, interact with top management.
- Multiple experiences managing capex projects >$100 MM
- Base knowledge of key topics: engineering, procurement, and construction
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a suitable technical degree.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in a Project Management or Project Services role in an industrial facility.
- Central or East Coast time zone preferred.

Travel:
- Manufacturing site selection in process. Within Central or East Coast location. Relocation/Travel to site when necessary required.
- Travel may be required for meetings, conferences, site visits and training.
Salary:
$135,000 - 190,000/year
