Position Overview:
Supports hardware design on new and next-generation products.Responsibilities:
- Lead design of RF front end / Transmitter in high-volume wireless communication devices
- Generate schematics and PCB layout based on Project goals.
- Test and validate products in compliance with 5G-NR / LTE / UMTS / Wi-Fi device specifications, environmental conditions, and internal electrical/mechanical requirements
- Generate internal design specifications and documentation as necessary
- Participate in design and other milestone reviews
- Optimize PCB Board RF performance through simulation and calculation of RF matching.
- Work with customers to integrate wireless communication devices into their products
- Work with vendors in component selection and timely resolution of issues
Experience/Requirements:
- Strong background in wireless device design and RF hardware design
- Experience in 5G-NR, and LTE or WCDMA required
- Experience in RF lab equipment use
- Experience in TX, RX, and Synthesizer chains
- Experience in Zero-IF design, RF calibration, and system testing
- Proficient in using Qualcomm tools. – QXDM, QDART, QRCT
- Experience with Setup and Testing using 4G/5G callbox
- Experience with carrier certification process for 5G and LTE products
- Superior problem-solving skills at board level with strong layout skills a must
- Cadence experience a plus.
- Schedule driven self-starter with good communication skills
- Some travel required
- Ability to work with cross functional teams required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Education:
- BSEE (MSEE Preferred) with minimum of 7 years in relevant experience required.
Salary Range: $118,884 - $161,683This base pay range will vary depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
