Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Application Integration Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of integration solutions that enhance operational efficiency for our client within the transportation industry. This hybrid role offers flexibility in Lombard, IL, San Francisco, CA, or Austin, TX locations while contributing to the strategic objectives of our fleet operations. You will leverage your advanced technical skills and quick learning ability to drive innovation, tackle complex integration challenges, and deliver high-quality solutions aligned with our evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Architecture:- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, reliable, and secure integration solutions.
- Quickly grasp and apply new technologies to enhance integration capabilities.
Development & Implementation:- Develop, configure, and implement integrations using middleware tools, APIs, and custom scripts.
- Demonstrate versatility across various technologies and platforms.
Data Management:- Ensure accurate data exchange between systems, maintaining integrity and consistency.
- Develop and implement efficient data mapping, transformation, and migration strategies.
Automation:- Create automated workflows and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Adapt automation strategies to evolving technologies.
Technical Leadership:- Provide guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Drive best practices in integration development and take ownership of project outcomes.
Troubleshooting & Support:- Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
- Ensure continuous system functionality through ongoing support.
Documentation:- Maintain thorough documentation of integration processes, configurations, and changes.
- Produce precise technical specifications, design documents, and user manuals.
Qualifications
Who You Are
Integration Platforms:- Extensive experience with platforms like Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Workato, or Dell Boomi; OIC preferred.
API Management:- Proficient in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful and SOAP APIs.
Maximo Integration:- Experience integrating IBM Maximo with enterprise systems using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) and REST APIs.
Samsara & Zonar Integration:- Familiarity with integrating Samsara and transitioning from Zonar is a strong plus.
Data Transformation & ETL:- Knowledge of ETL processes and tools like Talend or Informatica.
Cloud Platforms:- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for managing integration services.
Programming Languages:- Proficient in Java, Python, or JavaScript for custom integration scripting.
Security:- Understanding of security protocols (OAuth, SAML, encryption standards).
Version Control:- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines for integration deployment.
The TECH Stuff
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of application integration experience, focusing on systems such as Maximo, Oracle OIC, Zonar, or Samsara.
- Proven ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing complex projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Architecture Designer, Oracle OIC Certification) and familiarity with Kronos Time Tracking system are a plus.
