Job Description


The Federal Sales Analyst will be responsible for identifying high-potential federal business opportunities, analyzing their fit for the organization, and presenting recommendations to the sales leadership team. The individual in this role will be integral to increasing our proposal win probability (PWIN) by supporting strategic initiatives, maintaining our readiness to respond to opportunities, and managing key business development activities. This role will also oversee our engagement plans for industry days and strategic conferences to optimize our presence and impact.

This role is an integral position within Oteemo’s Federal practice and the successful candidate will be able to operate with minimal supervision and be comfortable managing business development lifecycles. Key Responsibilities: 


1) Opportunity Identification & Analysis: 

  • Conduct detailed research to identify new federal business opportunities aligned with company goals and capabilities. 
  • Evaluate opportunities for fit based on company strategy, past performance, and competitive landscape. 
  • Maintain a pipeline database and regularly report on opportunity status to sales leadership. 

2) Business Intelligence & Reporting: 

  • Analyze trends, market drivers, and changes in the federal acquisition landscape. 
  • Track competitor activities and identify potential partnership opportunities. 
  • Provide weekly, data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership. 

3) Pipeline Management: 

  • Ensure that all opportunities in the pipeline are accurately updated and maintained within the CRM system. 
  • Monitor opportunity stages and regularly update CRM records to reflect the latest status, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. 
  • Create standardized reports and dashboards to provide visibility into pipeline health. 

4) Proposal Readiness & PWIN Improvement: 

  • Develop strategies to improve proposal readiness, including the identification of gaps in resources and capabilities. 
  • Work with internal teams to create and maintain a library of relevant proposal content. 
  • Support proposal teams with data collection, compliance tracking, and schedule management. 

5) Strategic Planning & Conference Management: 

  • Create and manage industry day and strategic conference attendance plans. 
  • Collaborate with business development and technical teams to develop engagement strategies and talking points for events. 
  • Track and report on event outcomes and follow-up activities. 

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in federal business development or sales analysis. 
  • Strong understanding of the federal acquisition process and opportunity databases (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin). 
  • Excellent analytical, research, and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience using CRM and opportunity management tools is preferred.
