ALWAYS.Job DescriptionThe Sr. Global Sales Support Specialist works closely with Account Executives to build and maintain successful relationships with GDT’s global client base, with the goal of increasing client satisfaction and contributing to the growth of the international business. In this role, you will provide essential daily facilitation of pre-sales and post-sales activities. Your ability to deliver exceptional customer service and work proactively in a fast-paced environment will be the key to your success in this role.
In this role, you will…
- Provide operational support for assigned Account Executives and clients for pre and post-sales functions, including but not limited to:
- Advising Account Executives and clients on international procurement model options
- Setting client expectations about individual country procurement requirements and challenges
- Acting as a single point of contact for the customer globally for any sales support activities
- Providing creative solutions to complex non-standard requirements based on GDT’s global capabilities and customer requirements
- Collaborating with internal cross-functional teams to satisfy customer requests (RMAs, invoicing, AP, legal, etc.)
- Submitting global deal registrations, obtaining vendor pricing, and preparing customer quotes POs in SAP
- Communicating with partners, vendors, and suppliers to negotiate pricing and confirm the availability of products globally
- Processing customer POs in SAP;
- Coordinating with GDT or vendor’s logistics and purchasing teams to track orders and set delivery expectations to the customer and implementation teams
- Completing global quote to order tracker, international RFQs, and RFP documentation
- Problem-solving pricing or order management-related issues with a sense of urgency
- Leading client meetings for operational reviews
- Addressing escalations promptly.
Accomplishments and competencies…
- 5+ years of experience in global sales support or international business in an IT industry preferred
- Experience with major OEM’s quoting tools & portals (Cisco, etc.) in a VAR environment preferred
- Microsoft Office experience required: Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, advance formatting) & Outlook; SAP preferred
- Highly effective interpersonal communication skills in a global setting
- Strong customer service orientation, including excellent telephone etiquette including appropriate handling of calls from clients
- Problem-solving abilities to resolve any challenges or inefficiencies for the best results
- Organized, independent, and self-driven - must be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Team oriented, flexible, and adaptable; Positive attitude and strong work ethic
