Position Overview
PLC seeks a highly skilled and motivated Grants and Development Director to join our innovative team. This role is crucial in leading its strategic grant management and fundraising efforts, ensuring the college continues to grow and provide exceptional educational opportunities in design and business.
Key Responsibilities
- Grant Portfolio Management: Oversee the lifecycle of grants and major gifts, ensuring alignment with the college's strategic goals, strict compliance with regulations, and financial accountability.
- Grant Development: Identify and pursue funding opportunities that align with our focus on design, entrepreneurship, and the HBCU legacy. Craft compelling grant proposals for educational institutions, corporate sponsors, and non-profit alliances.
- Compliance and Collaboration: Maintain rigorous compliance with all applicable regulations. Foster collaborative relationships with educational institutions and non-profit partnerships.
- Leadership: Serve as the essential link between development efforts and organizational leadership. Expand the college's funding base by leveraging its network within the HBCU community and the broader design and creative industries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's preferred
- 4+ years in grant management and development with a successful funding track record
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Passion for education, design, and fostering diversity in business
