Position Overview:
The Logistics Manager oversees the inbound and outbound shipments and diligently monitors the loading and unloading of trucks, materials, and communicates with Account Management team regularly. The Logistics Manager directs the work of shipping crew members and ensures a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct the work of shipping crews, such as loading trucks, packing materials, staging trucks, etc. Communicate with Account Management teams regarding bills of lading and freight invoicing.
- Oversee and direct receiving such as quality assurance for receivables, unloading trucks, and receiving documents. Provide shipping and receiving documentation daily to account teams.
- Track shipping destinations and compile findings. Coordinate shipments to and from various locations.
- Operate and oversee teams in accordance to budget.
- Overseas Shipping and Receiving Crew
- Manages storage inventory, including accurate inventories at the account and container level
- Cuts POs for Inbound and Outbound Transportation
- Manage company vehicles and drivers
- Responsible for movement of properties within the facility including proper adherence to
- Advocate for continuous improvement and implement new processes.
- Maintain safe, clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or similar degree or at least 4 years of comparable work experience
- 5 – 7 years of experience in logistics
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficient in Google Drive and Microsoft Office
- Experience working with various logistics software systems
- Strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a team player
- Ability to operate within a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
