Supply Chain Specialist I
Job Summary – a concise overview of the jobResponsible for the day to day coordination with Lannett’s contract manufacturing partner organizations involving the production planning and ordering of finished goods to support Lannett’s in-line commercial customer base. Supports management and other internal departments to ensure a consistent and adequate flow of information to Supply Chain Management concerning the commercialization hand-off for new products launches and other projects. Assists in managing Contract Manufacturer relationships from a production planning and forecasting perspective between CMOs and Lannett.
Responsibilities
•Manages finished goods manufactured by select domestic CMO partners by ensuring that safety stocks are maintained within the production planning process.•Factors to consider for managing finished good inventory: Lead time, shipping disruptions (i.e. limited trucks, receiving capacity), DEA class of product (controlled or non-controlled), expiration date of product, inventory costs, competition.•Maintains the production planning models for select domestic CMO products including customer forecasts, inventory levels, and open order status per the supply agreement.•Participates weekly / monthly meetings with select domestic CMOs to discuss forecasts, open orders, pending projects, and any supply issues.•Updates open order status for select domestic CMO products on the Master Production Schedule and coordinates the same with Supplier Quality Management. •Provides Logistics support in the form of delivery coordination, import paperwork, and facilitation of information between Lannett and CMOs.•Perform inventory obsolescence analysis when there is a significant change in business and communicate findings to internal team members.•Participate in monthly demand planning meeting with the commercial team to align on monthly sales demand by customer and sku. •Coordinate the final demand requirements linkage into the 12 month rolling production plans and forecast distributed to the CMO partners.•Participates and support management on supply chain slide deck presented in monthly S&OP Demand Mgmt.
Mtg.•Analyze basic commercial requests (One-time buy and small increases) for additional business for select domestic CMO partners and review/align with management. •Compiles and provides monthly sales information, inventories, and related information to Supply Chain, internal departments and CMOs as required.•Provides information externally and internally for audit purposes.•Prepares and maintains flow charts and process flows for select domestic CMO Manufacturers•Coordinates on site CMO visits and meetings as required at the Seymour site.•Issues non-inventory purchase orders for materials and services. Analyze the supply agreement to determine who is responsible for non-inventory cost.•Maintain report of all non-inventory expenses. •Analyze additional shipping costs (storage fees, temperature control, # of trucks required)•Ensure necessary documentation for controlled products is completed before product is received (222 forms and DEA license information)•On a quarterly basis provide Finance team with a report of Lannett owned inventory for select domestic CMO partners which has not been received in SAP.• Other duties as assigned
Education:
• Bachelor's degree required in Business or other technical degree (i.e. Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering, etc.)• APICS, CPIM or CSCP certification preferred
Experience:
•0 -2 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Customer Service, and/or Project Management required.•Equivalent experience is accepted in lieu of degree.•Prior pharmaceutical experience desirable.

requisition systems, inventory purchases, Supplier/Vendor maintenance, Supplier/Vendor History)•Microsoft Word to enable individual to generate routine correspondence, memos, and reports.•Microsoft Excel – able to create and maintain worksheets, track and analyze data, and produce statistical data using basic excel functions.•Microsoft Outlook to enable individual to: send and receive messages; schedule meetings; maintain calendar; maintain contacts phone numbers and addresses.•Microsoft PowerPoint to enable individual to create, save and amend presentations.•General understanding /knowledge working with Supply & Distribution Agreements
