Role Description: Senior Account Executive


As a Senior Account Executive at Momentum, you will play a critical role in helping nonprofits raise more through our state-of-the-art platform. You will leverage your experience in SaaS sales to guide nonprofits in implementing cutting-edge solutions that improve donor engagement and maximize their fundraising outcomes. You’ll be a senior member of our team, working alongside marketing, customer success, and product teams to ensure our clients experience seamless onboarding and ongoing support.Momentum has a strong inbound pipeline, and you will work to convert qualified leads, while also contributing to strategic outbound efforts to reach key nonprofit organizations that could benefit from our platform.

We want to hear from people who...



  • Have 5+ years of experience selling SaaS with a proven track record of surpassing quota attainment, preferably in a nonprofit or CRM-focused space.

  • Have experience leading needs assessments and demos with prospective clients, including C-suite executives, board members, and development staff.

  • Are strategic sellers who can consultatively solve problems for nonprofits, helping them raise six and seven figures per account.

  • Are individually driven, self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment.

  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and can manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities effectively.

  • Care about the outcomes of their clients and customers, we’re here to make a difference and help nonprofits raise more money.

Key Responsibilities



  • Prospecting: You will be accountable for generating a substantial portion of your own pipeline. You will have access to one SDR and the support of the engineering team in order to help generate opportunities.

  • Closing Deals: You will be accountable to win new business and close opportunities at a high rate.

  • Full market book of business: We have deals ranging from some of the largest enterprise institutions in the US down to mid-market nonprofits. You will have the opportunity to develop strategies and sales processes for each of our core verticals and market segments.

  • Handle outbound lead generation strategically, while converting inbound leads with minimal wait times.

  • Understand and continuously refine our ideal customer profile, using this knowledge to drive new opportunities for sales, and also help to shape the product development roadmap around customer needs.

  • Work closely with marketing, customer success, and product teams to ensure a seamless transition for clients onto our platform.

  • Develop and implement a clear plan for scaling nonprofit client onboarding and usage.

Requirements



  • 5+ years of experience selling SaaS, with proven experience exceeding targets.

  • 2+ years of experience in the nonprofit, CRM, or FinTech space.

  • Strong consultative selling and problem-solving skills.

  • Skilled at managing both inbound and outbound sales pipelines.

  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with other departments.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for events, conferences, and sales meetings.

  • Experience working in a high-growth, rapidly innovating startup environment.

  • Located within a U.S. time zone (Eastern Time Zone preferred).

Compensation and Benefits



  • Compensation: $180k-$225k OTE with uncapped commission

  • Equity: $100k-500k in equity vesting over four years in a scaling venture-backed startup with very high upside

  • You will have the option to balance equity vs cash earnings to best suit your desired compensation

  • Option to liquidate equity in advance of a company-wide exit
