We are seeking a
Systems Engineer / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide high-level expertise in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) at the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) located at Schriever Air Force Base. This individual will serve as the NSITE Site Lead and subject matter expert, responsible for coordinating the integration and operation of the Network System Integration and Test Environment (NSITE) within the evolving Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) architecture.This role requires someone recognized as an industry leader, capable of initiating, supervising, and developing complex requirements, providing strategic advice, and delivering technical guidance for mission-critical challenges.Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the NSITE Site Lead, providing leadership and expertise in system architecture, integration, and connectivity.
- Develop requirements from project inception to conclusion for highly complex systems.
- Provide technical guidance and strategic advice to MDA engineers and project staff.
- Lead the coordination and integration of NSITE into BMDS.
- Consult with clients to define problems and recommend solutions, supporting Ground Test, Flight Test, and Continuous Development Integration events.
- Provide onsite and remote support for NSITE events at MDIOC and other locations worldwide.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
- High School Diploma
- 10+ years of experience in military Command and Control systems, satellite/land-based communications, cryptographic systems, and network integration.
- Expertise in missile defense systems and missile warning architecture, including NSITE and BMDS.
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership and strategic advice on complex projects.
- Familiarity with system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and hardware installation (fiber optics, CAT-5, coax, etc.).
- Security+ certification
Preferred Experience:
- Extensive experience supporting MDA's NSITE system and BMDS architecture.
- Familiarity with military systems such as GCCS, JRE, ADSI, and SEWD.
- Proven expertise in data analysis and system administration, including Windows and UNIX environments.
- Background in early missile warning systems, including real-world missile event reporting and analysis
