We are pleased to announce the opening for a Senior RF Engineer who will join our Technical Solutions division in Huntsville, Alabama and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team known for research, rapid prototyping, and on the path to fielding transformational RF capabilities for various government customers.
Responsibilities:
You'll be conducting fast-moving research, development, prototyping, design, and fabrication of novel radar / RF technologies on a growing team. You should feel comfortable working both independently and as a key part of a high-performing team. This will include the following duties:
- Lead and/or contribute to design teams for cutting-edge radar/RF systems R&D.
- Serve as a key member of multidisciplinary teams fabricating, coding, integrating, and/or testing innovative radar systems.
- Communicating solutions and concepts to engineering, scientific, and technical audiences
- Performing trade-off analyses; modeling, simulation and analysis of alternatives to evaluate system effectiveness, utility, and performance
- Translating objectives into architectural concepts, system quantitative and functional requirements, and system specifications and interfaces
- Making sound decisions based on good engineering judgment
- Managing the direction of research projects and prototyping development
- Providing technical oversight for subcontractors / vendors
- Proactively identifying problems and solutions
- Interacting with customers to convey system objectives and constraints
- Assisting with proposal efforts to support new business development
Basic qualifications:
This position is considered a mid-level to senior position, and the team is currently hiring for multiple candidates. We are willing to consider candidates who have at least these minimum qualifications, but significantly higher levels of experience (e.g Ph.D in EE or physics, 10+ years of experience) would be very welcome.
- You must have a Master's degree. Electrical engineering preferred.
- You will need 5+ years of full-time professional experience. Experience and deep fundamental understanding of RF analog (or digital) electronics and test equipment preferred.
- You must possess or be able to obtain an active Secret clearance
- You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.
Lacking any of these disqualifies you from this job.Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated hands-on technical expertise with RF analog electronics and test equipment.
- Ph.D in EE or physics -- definitely not required, but we would strongly consider a candidate with this level of expertise.
- Strong RF systems engineering expertise. We're especially looking for people who know their way around radars or quirky RF systems that know where the "gotchas" are, from experience.
- Experience leading talented and/or fast-moving technical teams.
- Demonstrated experience in persuasive technical writing -- e.g. converting an idea into a winning proposal.
