We are inclusive, customer-devoted, curious, courageous, discerning, and results-driven.The creative team is looking for a 3D Experiential Designer to create and lead impactful design concepts, projects of various scales, 3D modeling+rendering, and supporting the evolution and expansion of Glossier’s immersive retail and offline presence. The ideal candidate has a passion for highly-conceptual, bold design while working in a highly collaborative environment.
They will convey their ideas through 3D modeling, renderings, drawings (plans, elevations, millwork, etc.), and graphic diagrams. They will work as part of the retail and experiential design team, collaborating closely with our cross-functional partners in graphic, product, and brand design. Through collective brainstorms, conceptual development, and an in-depth understanding of our brand, they will contribute to, lead, and support retail and experiential projects. This candidate should have a deep understanding of 3D modeling and visualization software, with a strong attention to detail.
This role will report into the Senior Director of Retail and Experiential Design.
Six Month Expectations
- Convey the design intent of our retail projects through visual representation (mood boards, 3D & 2D design).
- Conceptualize, design, and support projects through any/all stages both independently and collaboratively.
- Support the development and design of projects at a variety of scales
- Liaise between retail design and cross-functional teams to support the design of multiple projects
- Work alongside retail and graphic designers to create a cohesive visual system that can evolve
Twelve + Month Expectations
- Deep understanding of the Glossier brand guidelines and visual standards.
- Become familiarized with our wholesale visual displays and display methodologies.
- Ability to execute designs of various scales from concept to execution and installation.
- Ability to think critically around ways in which design systems can improve or better meet company goals.
- Work seamlessly with Marketing, Retail Operations, and other cross functional teams to ensure all goals are met.
- Ability to meet with fabricators and suppliers
- Maintain and evolve our testing system within our existing retail stores.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience working in Architecture, Interior Design, Set Design, or related field.
- Rhino 3D required
- Keyshot Rendering required
- Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite required
- Conceptual Design Skills
- Material Research/Sourcing
- Strong understanding of graphic design
- FF&E sourcing experience
- Retail display systems
In accordance with the applicable law, the following represents a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum compensation range for this position:
- The estimated annual pay range for this role is $64,000 - $83,000
- There may be future opportunities for continued pay progression based on continued strong performance in the role.
- Full-time positions are also eligible for a competitive compensation and benefits package that include medical health insurance, 401K, equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units, Paid Time Off, Short Term and Long Term Disability leave, and a range of other benefits.
