Within R&D IT Solutions, the Product Creation Applications (PCA) department is responsible for providing and supporting the R&D design community globally with best-in-class applications and support. The applications are used by over 6,000 designers.This is for the position of a Senior developer who will have responsibilities to develop and support applications used for HW Design data management. These applications include tools used for Quality of Product lifecycle and workflows management. The candidate should have an ability to grasp new technologies quickly and work independently with minimal supervision.The candidate for this position will be required to demonstrate flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution.This position is based out of Bangalore/ Noida/Hyderabad, India and offers opportunity to work in a globally distributed team where candidate will get a unique opportunity of personal development in a multi-cultural environment.
The candidate will also get a challenging environment to develop expertise in the technologies useful in the industry.This is for the position of a software developer who will have responsibilities for developing the application based on Business requirements , making sure the quality is maintained. They also involve in supporting the tool for bugs or question including implement the chnages required. The applications include both in-house developed and vendor tools used for Product Lifecycle Management and Design Quality Management.The day to day responsibilities will primarily include –· Develop understanding of supported business processes on IT applications in NPI manufacturing space.· Perform operational maintenance activities including server setup, configuration, administration and user support on IT PCA applications. · Work with business analysts to define, test and implement business process changes and enhancements on these applications.· Develop custom utilities to process data and automate different steps.· Develop, maintain and support interfaces to other applications in PLM ecosystem.· Follow and maintain IT’s defined processes and architecture guidelines.· Maintain constant verbal and written communication with IT application user base, and Deliver user trainings.Job Qualifications· Degree in Computer Science and relevant technical experience of 5 years or more.· Prior working experience using PHP is a must.· Experience setting up and configuring Web application server/ proxy server is a must.· Experience using Oracle and SQL is a must.
PL/SQL is good to have.· Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and javascript is required.· Working knowledge of UNIX platforms including knowledge of scripting language like Shell, Perl etc.· Understanding of Design Data Management and Product Lifecycle Management processes.· Excellent analytical, problem-solving and logical skills.· Must possess excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.· Conceptual ITIL Knowledge with understanding on Agile / scrum methodology and able to work in DevOps way.· Ability to use performance monitoring tools and able to setup monitors.· Proactive and supportive, helping teams and colleagues before being asked, making issues known before they’re critical.· Used to working in an international environmentMore information about NXP in India...
