    What we're looking for:


    We are looking for an energetic, hardworking, client focused, numbers savvy, funster to join our Super Star Accounting Team. As part of the Accounting Team, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of accounting services including preparing and maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP. The Staff Accountant will keep track of the Company’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial activities.Requirements

    • Must possess the highest level of personal integrity
    • Maintain the general ledger: ensure proper coding and recording of the accounting transactions; perform account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct
    • Primary GL areas responsibilities will include but not limited to: Cash, Fixed Assets, Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Expenses, ASC 842 schedules
    • Work closely with AP and AR Teams to ensure the financial data is transmitted into the ERP (Sage Intacct) correctly and timely
    • GL reconciliation
    • Month-End, Quarter-End and Annual close
    • Review period-end results and prepare variance explanations
    • Must be familiar with intercompany
    • Assist with the preparation of stand-alone and consolidated financial statements
    • Assist with annual audits and special projects, including system implementations, Ad Hoc projects and transition support
    • Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information.
    • Ensure that financial information complies with professional and regulatory standards
    • Align general ledger accounting practices to support budgeting and forecasting
    • Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned
    • Maintain a hybrid work schedule in accordance with company principles.

    Education & Experience


    • Bachelor's or associate's degree in accounting, or in a related specialization.
    • At least 5 years experience in general ledger accounting, or similar.
    • Proficiency in accounting and business management software. Proficiency in Sage Intacct is strongly preferred
    • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Superb time-management and organizational skills.
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

    • Broad and in-depth knowledge of GAAP and other accounting and reporting standards.
    • Public accounting audit experience and/or equivalent Internal Audit experience is preferred
    • Excellent knowledge of all accounting functional areas
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
    • Effective communication, analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic high-performance environment.
    • Ability to work under pressure of deadlines and commit to overtime as necessary.
    • Ability to balance workload and determine priorities. Excellent organization and time-management skills.
    • Ability to understand and become knowledgeable of Verve business standards, policies & procedures to complete work in compliance of these.
    • Ability to exercise discretion and to independently perform job responsibilities.
    • Ability to speak and be understood, and to hear conversational tone of voice, with or without reasonable accommodations.

    Salary Description$67,824-$84,780
