About the role:


  • Drive and support the month-end close process, including preparing relevant journal entries, performing balance sheet and P&L flux analyses, and preparing balance sheet and P&L accounts reconciliations, including but not limited to fixed assets, cash and cash equivalents, other current assets, and accruals.
  • Ensure the general ledger appropriately reflects all financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist in annual consolidated financial audits and local statutory audits as needed.
  • Participate in various accounting system automation and enhancement projects to promote more timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Support and collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions for cross-functional projects including cash activities and as a backup as needed.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to ensure a complete and accurate month-end close.
  • Assist with drafting and tying out of annual financial reporting and other ad hoc internal or cross-functional reporting requests.
  • Other ad-hoc projects and duties as needed.

About you:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience - technology or SaaS industry knowledge is a plus
  • A proficient understanding of GAAP and financial reporting controls
  • Public corporate accounting experience is preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills; experience in a multi-accounting SaaS tool environment (NetSuite, ADP, Tipalti, Expensify, etc.) preferred
  • Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects while continuing to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy on ongoing goals with minimum supervision
  • Strong attention to detail skills, with the ability to identify errors as well as consider root causes of errors and brainstorm workable solutions or alternatives to avoid errors going forward
  • Ability to change lenses between accounting and financial details vs. big-picture analytical skills across GL accounts and financial statements
  • Team player who works well independently and with others across all organizational levels and departments
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and analytical skills
  • Fluency in English and Hungarian (both verbal and written)
