Summary:
This is a part time position. This individual will have at least one amputated limb and will portray a significantly injured person during intensive military, law enforcement, and / or 1st responder training exercises.
Job Duties:
Specific duties will take place at the Strategic Operations Facility in San Diego, CA, but on occasion travel to the client’s location (throughout the U.S. and possibly locations outside the country) will be required. Must be able to follow the direction of the STOPS Project Manager during training scenarios - geared towards medical procedure education of military, law enforcement, and 1st responder personnel. To portray a significantly injured person after a simulated traumatic event (explosion / vehicle accident / etc.).
Knowledge & Skills:
To be able to learn detailed medical immediate action procedures and play the role of an individual with a traumatic injury within a dynamic scenario; facilitating the education of members of the military, law enforcement, and 1st responders.
Working Conditions:
Normal shifts are between eight (8) and twelve (12) hours (day and night). Must be comfortable and willing to be “handled” / “touched” by Special Effects Make-up Artists (applying wounds) and members of the Training Audience (rendering aid). Must be able to tolerate tight spaces, the dark, and all weather conditions. Reasonable accommodations are always taken into account.
