We are seeking a motivated Biomedical Engineering Test Intern with a strong aptitude and interest in both wet lab techniques and hardware testing. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and scientists to assist in the testing, validation, and optimization of biomedical devices and systems. This hands-on position is ideal for students looking to gain experience in a dynamic environment that blends laboratory research and mechanical/electrical hardware testing. You will contribute to innovative projects, helping to shape the future of biomedical technologies while honing your skills in both the biological and engineering aspects of the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the testing and validation of biomedical devices, including both hardware and software components.
- Perform wet lab experiments and contribute to data collection and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and debug electronic boards and circuits.
- Contribute to software development and automation of tests using Python and C++.
- Support mechanical hardware testing and assist with the setup and maintenance of test environments.
- Document testing procedures, results, and observations, providing reports to engineering teams.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025.
- Basic understanding of biomedical engineering concepts and testing methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with wet lab techniques and procedures.
- Experience with electronic board debugging and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge programming skills specifically in Python and C++.
- Experience working with mechanical hardware and testing equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
