Company Background:
Century Therapeutics is developing novel allogeneic living cell products for oncology that overcome the limitations of current cell therapies. Century’s genetically engineered, universal iPSC-derived immune effector cell products are designed to specifically target hematologic and solid tumor cancers. Century’s foundational technology is built on induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) that have unlimited self-renewing capacity.
This enables complex cellular engineering to produce controlled cell banks of modified cells that can be expanded and differentiated into desired immune effector cells, which can supply vast amounts of allogeneic, homogeneous therapeutic products. This platform differentiates Century from other approaches that utilize non-renewable donor-derived cells.
Role:
The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for building and maintaining a stable and secure information technology platform. This individual will form the policies and procedures that govern a framework of guidelines, controls, and security practices. This role will also co-design and execute the infrastructure technology roadmap in tandem with the overall IT strategy roadmap defined by the Head of IT.The right candidate has a strategic view of technology selections and strong change management and communication skills.
They also have a customer-centric perspective, with a focus on delivering high-quality service to achieve Century’s business objectives.The Infrastructure Architect reports to the Head of IT. The position is outside the Philadelphia headquarters but will support all other Century on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure locations. This position requires a mix of on-site and remote work locations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the infrastructure technology project roadmap
- Owns all infrastructure technologies within the on-premises data frames and remote Azure and AWS cloud tenants
- Develops, tests, implements, and maintains all infrastructure tools and platforms
- Maintains highly available and high-performing infrastructure services with continuous optimization
- Owns and resolves all infrastructure-escalated incidents working directly with internal Tier 1 team members and external Tier 3 vendor support teams
- Authors maintains, and executes all infrastructure policies and procedures
- Manages all internal and cloud infrastructure technology
- Manages Infrastructure technology vendors and projects
- Produce reports and presentations summarizing infrastructure current-state performance and future-state planning
- Develop and maintain the infrastructure technology budget
- Manage the software agreements and renewals for all infrastructure technologies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent
- Advanced certifications (i.e. Zachman, TOGAF, ITIL, CISSP-ISSAP, MCSE) preferred
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure job roles
- 3+ years of experience leading an infrastructure team or environment
- 3+ years of experience managing technology and professional service vendors
- Proficient firewall and network administration experience (SonicWall, ZScaler)
- Proficient Microsoft Azure management experience
- Proficient VMware management experience
- Proficient Storage/SAN management experience
- AWS management experience preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of SDLC and change management principles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong relationship building skills
- Strong customer-centric skills
- Experience developing and managing infrastructure program roadmap preferred
- Familiarity with SaaS architectures and methodologies
- Familiarity with NIST framework and CISA guidelines preferred
