For this role specifically, we are seeking individuals to help support high-impact, civic tech within the federal government.As an integral part of the program, the Quality/Test Engineer supports with implementation of quality assurance techniques and tools within a program.
Supports with reviews code and product throughout the software development lifecycle. Works with development team to ensure that defects are identified, recorded, and properly triaged.Client Requirements: applicants MUST BE US Citizens and be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
- Implement quality assurance techniques and tools
- Reviews code and product throughout the software development lifecycle
- Ensure defects are identified, recorded, and properly triaged
- Responsible for working with stakeholders to drive quality throughout the entire SDLC process by ensuring that all code meets quality standards, all code is built and tested in non-production environments before promotion to Production environments and that testing is automated so that every commit is tested without intervention.
- Responsible for collaborating with other QE’s to handle cross-team testing dependencies
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- 4 years of experience
- Must be able to get up-to-speed quickly on new projects and technologies
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have Skills
- People Management Experience
- Experience with automated Accessibility-testing tools
- Good understanding of HTML, Web Accessibility and Section 508 requirements
- 508 Certified Tester
Salary Information
We are committed to offering a competitive salary for this position, with an estimated range of $80k to $110k annually. Please note that this range is intended to provide a general idea of what to expect. The final offer may vary based on experience, skills, and other factors.
