Our expertise encompasses the full spectrum of system technologies from pneumatic - hydraulic control systems to state-of-the-art programmable solutions to chemical injection systems, and everything in-between.The Government Contracts Navigator is a key role responsible for guiding and assisting our organization in securing, managing, and navigating the complexities of government contracts.
This role requires in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local procurement processes, compliance requirements, and effective communication with government agencies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of translating complex regulations into actionable strategies for our team.Requirements
- Identify, research, and pursue relevant government contract opportunities at federal, state, and local levels.
- Provide guidance and support in preparing and submitting government contract proposals and bids.
- Monitor and track contract performance, ensuring adherence to terms and deadlines.
- Ensure all contract activities are compliant with applicable government regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS).
- Stay up-to-date on changes in procurement policies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Serve as the main point of contact between the organization and government agencies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contracting officers and other key stakeholders.
- Communicate contract terms and obligations to internal teams to ensure proper implementation and compliance.
- Identify potential risks related to contract execution and propose mitigation strategies.
- Resolve contract-related disputes in coordination with legal and compliance teams.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proven track record of securing and managing government contracts, including knowledge of federal, state, and local procurement laws.
- SAM.gov experience
- Strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools (e.g., Deltek, GovWin, or similar).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Required Experience & Education
- 3-5 years of experience in government contract management, acquisition, or procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Policy, Procurement, or a related field.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk.
- Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking.
- Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.). Long hours on computer keyboard.
