BASIC FUNCTION: The Staff Accountant position is responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and the general ledger. Staff Accountant will also analyze budgets, perform general bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, internal purchasing activities, and cash flow analysis. This position will work closely with the entire Management Team in providing analysis, reporting and recommendations. This position will work directly with the outsourced Accounting Firm and President/CEO.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting• 4-6 years of current relevant accounting experience• Current working knowledge of GAAP• Previous work history should show progressively more responsibility• 3-4 years of QuickBooks Online experience is required for this position• Technology savvy candidate with strong accounting and analytical skills• Effective written and oral communication skills• Experience working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment• Experience effectively communicating with internal and external partners
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
:
• Maintain corporate A/R, A/P and internal purchasing functions and transactions.• Be responsible for all customer collection efforts including phone calls, emails, etc.• Perform daily treasury function, weekly and monthly cash flow projections, including wire transfer activity.• Prepare general ledger reconciliations.• Assist 3rd party resources and outsourced accounting firm with income tax preparations.• Work with outsourced accounting firm on sales tax submissions and all relevant documentation activities.• Review payroll for submission to third-party service processing.• Prepare monthly journal entries.• Work with outsourced accounting firm on month-end and year-end close processes.• Run financial and operational reports for leadership team.• Coordinate with outside entities to comply with state, local and federal government reporting requirements.• Coordinate and work with leadership on the preparation of financial forecasts.• Maintain accounting procedures and internal controls.• Perform basic HR functions in conjunction with 3RD party HR advisers.• Interface with the company’s outside lenders and advisors.
