ABOUT THE ROLE


The Senior Materials Planner will be responsible for ensuring efficient planning and movement of materials across the organization’s supply chain. This role involves inventory analysis, intercompany transactions, and fulfillment processes, ensuring optimal stock levels, material accuracy, and strategic decision-making based on inventory reviews. The Senior Materials Planner will also collaborate closely with subsidiaries, particularly between HQ and Mexico, to guarantee smooth material flow and alignment between physical and system inventories.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING


  • Clear to Build (CTB) Analysis: Conduct regular Clear to Build analysis to ensure assambly timeline for ongoing and upcoming projects, identifying any material shortages or surpluses in a timely manner.
  • Inventory Analysis: Perform detailed inventory analysis, regularly reviewing stock levels and ensuring alignment with production requirements. Monitor and report on inventory trends to identify excess, obsolete, and slow-moving materials.
  • Monthly Inventory Presentation: Prepare and present monthly inventory reports, categorizing materials by project, excess, obsoletes, R&D, services, and other relevant categories. Provide strategic insights to management based on inventory status.
  • Intercompany Purchase Orders: Create and manage intercompany purchase orders, ensuring smooth and efficient transfers of materials between different business units or subsidiaries.
  • Intercompany Sales Orders: Prepare intercompany sales orders to facilitate the movement of goods and services between different divisions of the company, ensuring accurate documentation and communication.
  • Monthly Fulfillments: Oversee and manage monthly fulfillment processes to ensure timely delivery of materials for production and project needs. Collaborate with logistics and procurement to address any issues impacting material availability.
  • Material Movements between Subsidiaries (HQ - MX): Monitor and coordinate material movements between HQ and the Mexico subsidiary, ensuring that transfers are executed efficiently and without delays. Must work together with Logistics Specialist
  • Physical and System Inventory Reconciliation: Ensure the physical material inventory matches the data in the system. Regularly review and reconcile discrepancies, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions when needed. Performs inventory adjustments or transactions when needed.
  • Project Inventory Reviews and Decision-Making: Conduct thorough reviews of project-specific inventory levels, analyzing stock status and making strategic decisions to support project timelines and objectives. Provide recommendations on material reallocation, disposal, or additional procurement based on project needs.

WHAT WE WANT TO SEE


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engeniering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in materials planning or a similar role within the supply chain.
  • Languages: Conversational English is essential.
  • Experience with intercompany transactions and cross-border material management is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of inventory management tools
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to decision-making.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and material planning.

$1,840 - $2,400 a month
