Job Title: Director, Client Engagement (Speakers Bureau)
Job Purpose
This individual’s primary role is to support one or more Speakers Bureau customers (depending on size) with their promotional Speaker program needs. This role entails both direct management of client accounts, as well as potentially mentoring and leading a small team of client services professionals. The Director, Client Engagement will have significant client contact, account strategy and planning, financial management, quarterly business review meetings, and interaction and coordination with other EHG colleagues (including operations, data analytics, technology, medical communications, creative, editorial, and project management). Responsible for leading client service delivery across one or more Speakers Bureau clients representing collectively up to $5m in annual revenue.
May have direct reports. Collaborates with VP, Program Operations and Operations Management to ensure meeting execution and closeout are aligned with customer needs and contractual obligationsFunctional Responsibilities
- Create, develop and maintain healthy working relationships with clients both directly and indirectly. Actively listen to customer needs, respond with strategic insights and timely, appropriate business solutions that align with overall goals. Work with VP, Client Services to ensure brand strategy is implemented across EHG.
- Serve as primary liaison to assigned clients as it relates to Speakers Bureau programming, including travel to client offices as needed to participate in brand strategy meetings, development of client reporting, and leadership in resolving service escalations.
- Support the launch of new products and indications as needed, including requirements gathering, process creation, and the pricing of team infrastructure and personnel.
- Identify and realize organic growth opportunities with existing accounts, by listening to and addressing customer needs as it may relate to services which fall under the Evolution Health Group umbrella.
- Financial management of accounts and projects, including oversight of the budget management, accrual, and invoicing process in partnership with the Financial Analyst and account leaders.
- Support the strategy and response to new business RFI’s and RFPs.
- Participate in and prepare staff for key client meetings, in person or virtually, to ensure customers are receiving appropriate, high-value, partner-centric engagement from our team. Work with other senior managers where needed to support challenging discussions.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews; ensure the team provides thoughtful data accompanied by strategic recommendations that will improve the ROI on program execution.
- Lead organic business development tasks such tactical planning, innovation/creative brainstorms, etc.
- Provide direction on ancillary material creation and support across all projects
Leadership Responsibilities
- Resource management and cross-team collaboration to ensure sufficient coverage to support assigned work (includes forecasting needs and aligning appropriate resources across EHG)
- Conduct performance management for direct reports, including development, training, regular one-on-ones, and performance evaluations; ensure direct reports are highly motivated to succeed and feel they are part of a supportive, collaborative team.
- Provide mentorship and training to all team members, ensuring consistency in processes and best practices in industry.
Qualifications:
- Must have a solid understanding of all aspects of Speakers Bureau programming and demonstrate strong, positive, client management skills
- Minimum of 5 years in Pharma Speakers Bureau client management role
- Minimum of 2 years managing staff
- Expert level understanding of PhRMA guidelines
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PPT
- Direct experience launching clients, products, and indications
- Must be willing and able to travel regularly for client meetings
- Proven leadership capabilities and ability to clearly articulate EHG’s full range of services.
Working Environment:
Normal office environment. Travel required: regular. May require regular evening and weekend work. It should be noted that when weekend travel is required, the employee will be compensated according to Evolution’s Travel Schedule, i.e., a half-day of compensation time will be awarded for each full day of weekend work.EHG is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
