Job Title: Global Requirements Lead


Job Location: Colorado Springs, CO


The Global Requirements Lead will provide Systems Engineering leadership to ensure a disciplined system engineering approach to the definition, development, and analysis of the system capabilities. Based on understanding of the design and results of comparisons, the Global Requirements Lead will use related systems engineering tools and documents to analyze, understand, and propose changes to systems engineering analysis, user CONOPS and system operational concepts, and system and interface requirements specifications in support of C2BMC.

Always working towards future BMDS capabilities such as sensor management, tasking, cueing, and discrimination architectures, the Global Requirements lead will also participate in developing, executing, and analyzing the results of various tests of the software in a lab environment as needed. Role will include coordination of engineering disciplines in resolving system-level issues. 

Must Haves:


  • An active DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Science, Engineering, or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Must have a solid understanding of systems engineering process and principles.
  • Must have familiarity with the application and use of systems engineering tools for requirements management and Object Oriented requirements definition (e.g. DOORS) is required.
  • Must have previous experience working in the space defense domain including operational and technical issues associated with specific areas of the missile defense domain such as engagement management, track management, sensor management, networks, etc.
  • Must possess excellent communications skills (written and verbal) and the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
  • Must have experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions

Desired Skills:


  • Experience using MDNT processes and methods.
  • Ability to analyze high level needs and using a structured and logical approach refine those needs into an integrated set of requirements that leads to a fielded product.
  • Ability to lead/perform portions of the work and direct the activities of other systems engineers.
  • Ability to work directly with multiple customer organizations and contractor organizations is a must.
  • Able to write and implement engineering plans within a project.
