Summary of Position:
The Measurement Supervisor will oversee crude oil and produced water measurement operations and ensure compliance with all measurement, safety, environmental, operating, and regulatory standards.This position will report to the Measurement Manager and lead a team of measurement technicians in the day-to-day measurement operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of measurement devices and equipment. The Measurement Supervisor will also support analytics, operations, engineering, and construction teams.This individual must be able to install, maintain, and repair measurement, instrumentation, and electrical equipment, recommend, develop, and support the implementation of new processes, and be willing to learn the latest technological advances in instrumentation and measurement devices.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The following represents most of the position's duties but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory, environmental, and safety rules, standards, and corporate policies.As a Measurement Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Engaging assigned employees in active participation to instill a culture of safety and excellence by demonstrating a personal commitment to safe operations and active outreach to employees.
- Using measurement data system tools and reports to review volumes, monitor balances, and ensure accuracy.
- Coordinating field measurement operations to prepare and provide current and historical meter information for use in the verification of daily and monthly volumes.
- Working closely with and providing input to the measurement technicians and field operations supervisors to resolve balance issues.
- Maintaining and ensuring meter validation and proving schedule is met.
- Troubleshooting measurement, SCADA, and communication issues.
- Creating/updating various reports, spreadsheets, and key performance indicators.
- Leading and mentoring a team of measurement technicians.
- Performing pre-commissioning activities, including installation correctness, system checkout, instrumentation calibration, loop checks, and communication testing.
- Understanding and adhering to all industry, company, safety, and environmental standards.
- Executing and managing capital and operational projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Current/valid driver’s license.
- 5 years of measurement experience with at least 2 years of experience leading teams.
- Working knowledge of liquid gathering and midstream operations.
- Working knowledge of liquid flow meters (Coriolis and mag), flow computers, and proving systems.
- General knowledge of various API standards for liquid measurement.
- Supervisory leadership, proven ability to communicate with, support, and motivate employees to achieve operational objectives.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Excel, and Word.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of the following software programs is desired:
- Ignition
- ProveIT
- FlowX, Accuload, Microload
- Spotfire

- 5/2 (Monday – Friday) or 9/80
- Must be available for callouts, emergencies, or shutdowns (day or night)
