Job Summary:
The Head of Data Science and AI is a newly proposed position focused on driving core innovation across our fraud, identity verification and compliance suite of solutions through supervised and unsupervised machine learning, computer vision, and generative AI. This role is critical in guiding the strategic direction of Socure’s AI and data science initiatives, ensuring alignment with market needs and business objectives. You will oversee the development and execution of advanced data science strategies that capitalize on cutting-edge technologies, lead cross-functional collaboration, and mentor technical teams to enhance the depth and quality of AI-driven innovations and solutions.
Job Duties:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and drive the overall data science and AI strategy with a focus on innovation, technological advancement, and competitive differentiation.
AI and Data Science Innovation:Lead the development of novel machine learning models, computer vision applications, and generative AI solutions that address complex business challenges and enhance product offerings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to align AI initiatives with business goals, ensuring seamless integration and execution across the organization.
Research and Development:Stay at the forefront of AI and data science advancements, incorporating the latest research, tools, and methodologies into Socure’s technology stack.
Customer and Market Insights: Engage with customers and the market to understand needs, validate AI-driven solutions, and ensure Socure’s offerings remain cutting-edge, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible within the fraud, identity verification and compliance industry.
Mentorship and Team Development: Mentor data science teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Provide guidance on complex projects and ensure the team is equipped with the latest skills and knowledge.
AI Ethics and Responsibility:Ensure that AI models and applications are developed and deployed with a focus on ethics, fairness, and transparency, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Data Strategy and Governance:Oversee data strategy, including data acquisition, management, and governance, to ensure the availability of high-quality data for AI applications.
Innovation Pipeline:Drive the creation and maintenance of an innovation pipeline that leverages AI and data science to generate new business opportunities and enhance existing products.
Job Requirements:
Experience: 10+ years in data science, machine learning, or a similar leadership role, with a proven track record of developing innovative models and driving impactful results in technology or financial services.
Leadership:Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and managing high-performing data science teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Technical Expertise:Deep understanding of data science, machine learning, and computer vision, including experience with advanced modeling techniques and big data technologies.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and translate complex data insights into actionable strategies that align with business goals and drive growth.
Collaboration:Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams around data-driven initiatives.
Innovation Focus:Demonstrated ability to stay current with industry trends and integrate new technologies and methodologies into data science practices.
Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership and external stakeholders.
