This person will be instrumental in our success. The Regional Vice President, Account Executive is responsible for prospecting and penetrating large service providers and healthcare companies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute go-to-market plans.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand the unique requirements of potential clients.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects within the healthcare and service providers sectors.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other lead generation methods.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in healthcare and service provider organizations.
  • Provide expert consultation to clients on our network monitoring cloud software solutions.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations tailored to the healthcare and service provider industries.
  • Uses effective sales techniques to uncover customer needs that can be addressed through the company’s solutions.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and quotations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Ensure smooth transition and onboarding of new clients to the implementation team.
  • Acquire and maintain a deep, technical understanding of OpenNMS’ commercial technology, solutions and services
  • Remain current in network monitoring market trends to offer proactive information and guidance to OpenNMS teams and the client

Education & Experience:


  • Technology sales background, broad understanding of market & product dynamics in network monitoring preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience with a proven track record in sales leadership role(s) managing profitability, business analysis, and strategy development in tech sales
  • Experience in selling SaaS technologies to IT professionals in the Healthcare industry
  • Proven track record of managing a complex data sales process including lead generation, client presentations, and contract negotiation with decision markers across levels of seniority
  • Proven history of building strategic relationships, selling and closing complex deals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Ability to take a strategic and proactive approach with their existing business relationship portfolio and be entrepreneurial in acquiring new business.
  • Interest in working at a fast-paced startup type company, and the ability to scale with the organization as it grows, and its needs & product portfolio change over time
  • Strategic thinker skilled at building relationships and influencing client leadership at all levels
  • Equally strong at building relationships with internal team members across multiple functional areas to achieve OpenNMS and client goals
  • Strong business analytics and metrics skills
  • Strong analytical, creative problem solving and presentation skills.
  • Ability to jump into different environments, adapt, and learn new skills and processes quickly.
  • Ability to travel nationwide

The salary range for remote US-based applicants for this position is below.  The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location. 

  • $125,000 - $165,000 base salary, plus commission.
