- Growth engineers at Whatnot have big ownership and velocity in order to significantly impact the company top-line metrics. To achieve our goals, we are passionate about understanding our buyer and seller experiences and becoming experts in our business metrics.
- This is a critical role on the notifications team, where you will architect complex systems to send the right message to the right user at the right time, at scale
Team members in this role are required to be within commuting distance of our San Francisco, CA, Los Angeles, CA, New York, NY, or Seattle, WA hubs.

- A bachelorās degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience building scalable systems (we primarily use Python, Elixir, JavaScript).
- Excellent product instincts. You first think about users rather than the best technical solution.
- Experience working on notifications or messaging systems is a plus
š°Compensation
$215,000/year to $285,000/year + benefits + equityThe salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below) or equity.
