ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Oberto team has an opening for the critical position of Quality Assurance Technician on 3rd shift. The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day tests and systems for quality measurement and control throughout Oberto production processes. These systems monitor process and production data to assure products, processes, and quality records conform to quality standards.
SCHEDULE:
2nd Shift - 12-hours per shift, with occasional overtime as needed. 4:00am – 4:00pmWAGE: $22.00 per hour with a $1.00 per hour shift differential.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the sensory process, data, and reporting to internal and external resources.
- Complete the Quality Inspection Process for co-manufactured products upon receipt at the Kent facility. Communicate to internal and external resources the results this includes AQL, sensory, and regulatory results.
- Assist in documenting and clarifying process specifications for Oberto products. Work to strengthening quality plans and improve consistency of product quality.
- Collect, organize, and report results and trends from Quality Inspection Audit that led to process variation affecting product Quality.
- Identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities throughout the manufacturing facility, assisting in identifying projects to be completed by the project improvement team.
- Assist in providing fact-driven root cause analysis of process deviation.
- Work with internal and external suppliers of materials, equipment, and services to execute projects, resolve problems, and improve processes.
- Help with communication of process changes found in the audit process.
- Develop and lead training of QA systems that include QAD, Redzone, QMS and existing legacy paperwork. Influence and guide other team members to complete auditing of QA activities and suggest improvements.
- Maintain databases and record storage for QA systems (QAD, Redzone, QMS and existing paperwork).
- Lead meetings and communications for QA system information, address concerns, and make updates.
- High proficiency with reporting and publishing weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics. Proficient in reporting to all levels of the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School or Equivalent prefer degree in Engineering or Life Sciences
- Computer literacy
- HACCP
- Expert Microsoft Excel
- Statistical Process Control (OJT)
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong math skills
- Cooperative - working well with diverse groups.
- Diplomacy Skills
- Analytical; proven problem-solving ability.
- Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy.
- Able to work with urgency.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- English competency
