Our Opportunity
We’re looking for an energized, driven and ambitious Strategic Sales Development Representative to join our team in Tokyo. As a Strategic Sales Development Representative at Snyk, you will play a crucial role in Snyk’s mission to help companies and developers find and fix vulnerabilities in their code, open-source dependencies, and cloud infrastructureAs a member of our fast-growing sales team, you’ll gain insight into how the full sales cycle works, exposure to high-profile customers, a strong technical grounding in our product, and plenty of mentorship and training.We care deeply about learning and development and will support you as you grow.
You’ll have opportunities to learn from experienced Account Executives, including participating in initial demonstrations and gaining a deep understanding of how multiple selling motions work in a high-growth technology company focused on security. You will also have the opportunity to support the APJ team at events in the region.
You’ll Spend Your Time:
- Tailoring Snyk’s value proposition to specific target accounts based on their unique needs and pain points.
- Leveraging tools to prioritize account outreach and become more productive/efficient
- Lead Generation: Conducting targeted outreach to identify and qualify potential customers that align with our ideal customer profile.
- Prospecting: Utilizing various prospecting techniques, including cold calling, email outreach, and social selling, to generate new leads.
- Qualification: Conducting discovery calls to understand potential customers' needs, pain points, and current/future strategic initiatives.
- Pipeline Development: Qualifying leads and nurturing them through the sales pipeline by providing valuable information and addressing their concerns.
- Cross functional collaboration: Collaborating with the marketing and sales team to develop effective sales strategies and messaging.
- CRM Management: Accurately updating and maintaining customer information and qualification notes in our CRM system.
What You’ll Need:
- Fluency in Japanese and English.
- Previous experience as an SDR or BDR, particularly in outbound prospecting
- Passion for the Cybersecurity industry.
- Ambition, organization, time management, efficiency, resilience, and a mindset of continually working to be better.
- Experience building strong, meaningful relationships through expert communication.
- Drive: you strive to exceed your goals and love the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment.

We’d be Lucky if You:
- Have previous experience prospecting in the Japanese market
- Have previous experience with SaaS/PaaS
