About the Role


As a Senior Manager of People Operations, you will design and implement the programs and systems that enable our ambitious business goals. AI is transforming how work gets done, and we want a People leader excited to build a better way of working for our internal teams. We are seeking someone who is eager to develop and execute an HR operating model that brings cohesion across the employee life cycle for our fully distributed and increasingly global workforce.

About the Team


We are a small but mighty teams that spans across two continents. We currently have two recruiters, one HRBP, one Comms & Programs person and looking for a US teammate to join in on all the excitement of building and supporting a growing company. The team is dedicated to building a solid infrastructure to support our People team efforts of creating an environment where employees can be their best selves and do their best work.

What You’ll Do


Within 3 months, you will:



  • Gain a deep understanding of existing systems, processes, policies, and People-related initiatives, including Clutch's tech stack (Lattice, Deel, Ashby).

  • Review current benefits and compliance processes. Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are being met for both US and international employees (particularly Brazil). Address any immediate compliance gaps.

  • Identify and implement quick operational improvements. For example, streamline onboarding/offboarding workflows and ensure all employee records and HRIS data are up-to-date.

  • Establish strong working relationships with cross-functional partners, especially finance, legal, and department leaders. Develop a deep understanding of company culture and team dynamics.

  • Conduct a full audit of compensation structures, benefits, and employee lifecycle processes. Provide recommendations for any immediate optimizations.

Within 6 months, you will:



  • Establish scalable processes for all core People Operations functions. This includes refining compensation, benefits administration, HRIS & ATS management, and payroll processes.

  • Refine and optimize the use of Clutch’s HRIS (Deel), ATS (Ashby), and performance tools (Lattice) to ensure they are being used effectively to track HR metrics, streamline workflows, and provide actionable insights.

  • Set up and deliver regular People metrics and dashboards for leadership, including headcount reports, compensation analysis, turnover trends, and engagement data.

Within 9 months, you will:



  • Take a leading role with Head of People in planning for future growth and workforce planning. Ensure that processes for hiring, employee onboarding, and performance management can scale as Clutch grows from 170 to potentially 300+ employees.

  • Provide data-driven insights to the leadership team to support decision-making. Use HR data to influence compensation strategy, employee retention plans, and benefits enhancements.

  • Start creating frameworks for long-term people operations at scale, especially focusing on systems and processes that can grow with the company. For example, implement scalable compensation review processes or expand benefits offerings to accommodate a growing global workforce.

  • Strengthen employee experience through well-defined development programs, employee recognition frameworks, and targeted engagement strategies based on survey feedback and company culture.

What You’ll Bring



  • 7+ years of experience in People Operations or HR, ideally with experience in fast-growing startups (experience scaling from 100 to 300+ employees is a plus).

  • Deep experience managing compensation, benefits, HR systems, and compliance.

  • Strong operational and systems mindset; ability to design and implement processes that scale.

  • Expertise in managing and optimizing People tech stacks, including HRIS and ATS systems (experience with Lattice, Deel, and Ashby is a plus).

  • Proven track record of leading HR operations with a strategic focus on compliance and employee experience.

  • Ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail.

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
