Program Description: The program supports the network operations and network infrastructure critical for a United States Military Base to carry out its mission. Network operations span multiple buildings, dispersed across a large, military base environment. Network operations/network infrastructure services support 10,000 users and up to 1 million visitors annually.
Position Description:
SES is looking for a Network Infrastructure Lead to plan, integrate, operate, maintain, modify, and update the core/distribution layers of the multi-tenancy network. This includes the operation, maintenance, and management of the day-to-day operations of the multi-tenancy core, distribution, and access layer, to include outage resolution, traffic monitoring, network/traffic shaping and optimization.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and minimum 5 years of related experience.
Required Skills:
- Hold a current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or higher certification.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a large campus area network consisting of switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, WiFi, routing protocols (OSPF and BGP), authentication servers, monitoring and reporting applications.
- Installing, testing and maintaining LAN/WAN equipment (Cisco and Aruba) and related services to include 802.1x, Palo Alto firewall, InfoBlox and IPAM services.
- Advanced Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution, System Analysis and debugging software and hardware Work closely with development teams to fix bugs and improve system performance. Recommend and apply system optimizations and upgrades to improve functionality and performance.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for solutions and processes
- Provide expert consultation and advice to support teams as well as the government customer
- Implement incident responses to manage and mitigate IT security incidents as defined by the government customer
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to resolve complex issues related to hardware, software, and maintenance. This includes engaging vendors such as Microsoft, Dell, VMware, Cisco, Tanium, Splunk, and Aruba for advanced problem resolution.
Preferred Skills:
- 3 years of experience: Managing projects, budgets, schedules, resources, and vendors. Supervising and mentoring Network infrastructure specialists. Making recommendations for ways to improve performance, reduce costs, and meet business requirements.
