Typical tasks may include the configuration of plant floor data collection and reporting systems along with data verification, troubleshooting and user training, front end visualization development, and back-end database management. Travel may at times be required including project opportunities implementing world class plant floor information management solutions for our Automotive OEM customers outside of North America.Further details about the role are as follows:

Responsibilities


The candidate must have excellent communication skills to complement an aptitude or interest in manufacturing process monitoring, control, instrumentation, and process technology. Customer relationships are paramount for our success and candidates must have the ability to work within a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial team environment. As well, the following skills are desired:

  • Well organized and attentive to detail, good analytical skills, report production and interpretation.
  • Strong sense of drive, initiative, and ability to manage simultaneous tasks/responsibilities and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including well-developed communication abilities (both oral & written).
  • Good analysis capacity and sound judgment and problem-solving skills.

Requirements


  • B.S. Computer Science, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Min 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing facilities
  • Knowledge of Industrial Control Systems
  • Familiarity with MES type applications
  • Experience with software development (Java, JavaScript)
  • Experience with Relational and/or NoSQL Databases
  • Must have the ability to work on-site at one or more facilities within assigned region

Preferred Skills (any of the following)


  • Deployment of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) implementations
  • Experience in Industrial Communication protocols (MQTT, OPC, etc.)
  • SSIS Certification/Accreditations
  • Inductive Ignition Certification/Accreditations
