Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Executive Director/VP to lead and develop strategies around IT operations at Fractyl. As the Executive Director/VP, you will be responsible for establishing procedures around IT assets through managing the IT help desk and external vendors. This position will cross-functionally partner with Fractyl’s internal stakeholders to lead solutions implementation and will be an integral part in driving forward our business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procedures around Fractyl’s IT assets including, but not limited to, systems access, computers, telecommunications, software, and security.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure, platforms, and services.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and strategic partners, ensuring effective collaboration and leveraging their expertise for successful implementation and support.
- Execute asset protection through encryption and traffic management.
- Coordination of software solutions specific to regulations for both medical devices and biologics.
- Offer strategic support to Fractyl’s stakeholders, develop solution plans, and drive implementation.
- Manage the IT Help Desk to ensure timely response to employee tickets.
- Perform all activities in compliance with applicable regulations, Fractyl’s policies and guidelines, including, but not limited to, timely documentation of activities and maintaining all required applicable training.
- Bring a “can do” spirit to work and deliver on other responsibilities as assigned.
Education or Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, or related field preferred.
- MS in a related field is a plus.
Professional Work Experience
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in IT management.
- Applicable experience in biotech, pharmaceutical and/or medical device industries preferred.
- Prior vocational experience in related fields a plus (i.e. Co-Ops, Internships, Fellowships, etc.).
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency with modern digital tools related to IT management.
- Strong understanding of challenges and requirements of technology in the biotech industry including data security, compliance, and scalability.
- Strong understanding of data security and associated regulations.
- Proven experience leading projects to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness across an organization.
- Project-management, decision-making, and leadership attributes are a must.
- Excellent communication skills.
