We are seeking a talented Senior Web Developer to enhance our online presence and drive our digital initiatives forward.
As a Senior Web Developer at Endy, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our e-commerce tech. Your expertise in modern web technologies, automation, and performance will ensure our site remains fast, user-friendly, and above industry standards. You have a strong ability to effectively communicate concepts and ideas, and can be highly adaptable in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with a group of talented developers, designers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences that resonate with our customers.
What You'll Do:
- Website Development: Build, test, maintain, and optimize the Endy eCommerce website and connected tech. Evolve and automate our code and CMS to ensure it continues to be performant, easy to use, and scales to meet our business needs
- Feature Implementation: Collaborate with project stakeholders and designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring the timely rollout of new features
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance website performance, implementing best practices for speed, scalability, and search engine optimization (SEO)
- Code Review and Mentorship: Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback and mentoring developers to uphold high coding standards and practices
- Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Customer Support teams to gather requirements and integrate solutions that enhance customer engagement and satisfaction
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for development processes, architecture, and site features
- Stay Informed: Monitor competitive websites, industry trends, new technology, and digital services and recommend investment in best-in-class third-party tools, ensuring that Endy stays at the forefront of industry standards.
Who Are You:
- 4+ years of experience in web development, with a strong focus on eCommerce platforms (experience with Headless Shopify architecture is a major plus)
- Excellent development skills and high proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, along with React and Next.js frameworks
- Eager to code daily and tackle complex challenges with enthusiasm and creativity
- Experience working with UX/UI designers and translating designs (in Figma) into functional, responsive web components
- Passionate about automation/building tools to automate processes
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization, accessibility standards (AODA), and SEO best practices
- Knowledge of AB testing code implementation (experience with Launchdarkly is a plus)
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an ability to view your work with an objective eye
- Passionate about learning and improving when solving complex problems. Highly adaptable and results-driven in a fast-paced environment
- Able to manage time independently and set expectations on the level of effort for tasks
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders and keep them informed and aligned
- Experience leading projects and team members is considered an asset.
