We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Analyst with expertise in Amazon Redshift and SQL to lead our Data Analytics and Data Engineers. As a Lead Data Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s data strategy, managing a team of data engineers and analysts, and delivering information support for company strategy that drive business decisions. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of data across the organization while leading advanced data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Data Engineers and Data Analysts, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment with business goals.
- Oversee the team's day-to-day operations, project priorities, and delivery timelines.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify data needs and translate them into actionable projects and analyses.
- Design and implement the company’s data analytics strategy, ensuring scalability and alignment with business objectives.
- Work with large, complex datasets to deliver in-depth analyses and predictive modeling.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in Redshift, ensuring fast query execution and efficient data processing.
- Manage and optimize the Redshift data warehouse, ensuring it supports the organization’s growing data needs.
- Act as the subject matter expert on SQL within the organization, providing guidance to team members and ensuring top-level data manipulation capabilities.
- Collaborate with other departments (Product, Finance, Marketing) to understand their data needs and deliver timely, accurate insights.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and security of all data within the organization.
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries and optimize performance in large datasets.
- Extensive experience with Amazon Redshift is a must, including data warehousing design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Airflow to orchestrate workflows and manage data pipelines.
- Experience with Kafka to support real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Metabase, Power BI, Amplitude, QuickSight.
- Experience with creating MRR calculations.
