We are on the hunt for the right kind of people to join us and help lead us forward to continued growth.We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our growing team (based in downtown Toronto but also open to remote candidates) : someone with skill and passion in both UX and UI. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and user experience design best practices, while being able to translate high-level requirements into clean and functional user interfaces through our design system. They will be highly collaborative and a great problem solver.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESUX / UI Design:
- Lead end-to-end design process from research and ideation to prototyping and final delivery.
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with business objectives and user needs.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Partner with PMs and analytics team to utilize quantitative data to inform design decisions and measure the impact of design changes.
- Support other design tasks as needed from the content or partnership team.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements, align on goals, and brainstorm solutions.
- Communicate design concepts and rationale clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Advocate for user-centered design decisions and and collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate on designs based on user feedback and business requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
- Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all products.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and methodologies.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing responsive designs for web and mobile platforms.
- Proven experience in leading end to end design process: user research, collaborative ideation, prototyping, UX/UI design and usability testing.
- Experience in leading cross-functional team workshops with strong facilitation and communication skills.
- Ability to leverage both quantitative and qualitative data to validate design decisions.
- Strong UI design skills with excellent attention to details.
- Proficiency in Figma.
- Strong time management and organization skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with agile development processes and management tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, and Javascript) is a bonus but not required.
- Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in UX Design or a related field.
