A bit about the role…
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Solink, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by identifying and generating new business opportunities. Your responsibilities will involve a variety of outreach and organizational tasks that help the Sales team increase velocity and revenue. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about tech, security, and the varying industries that we serve. WHO YOU ARE:
You have an education in Business, Marketing, or a related field OR have relative experience in a similar role.
You have strong communication and time management skills.
You’re a resilient problem solver
You’re adaptable and can converse with anyone at any level, including VPs and C-level executives in Fortune 1000 companies.
You like technology and can get excited about the possibilities of how a business can use technology improve their business
You’re curious and well researched. Showing the customer you know them comes easy to you as you’ve done the homework and know that a prepared Cold Call or Campaign works best when done with data and knowledge.
You know that persistence is the key to success in a role like this.

Bonus if …
You have proven experience in a sales or business development role (you have experience in Cold Calling/Hunting).
You have familiarity with CRM software (HubSpot preferred).
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;
Must be eligible to work in Canada;
Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will prospect new customers, qualify leads, and set up meetings with Account Executives targeting companies with more than 100 physical locations focusing on Retail, Restaurants, and C-Store/Gas.
You will promptly respond to inbound leads, serving as the initial point of contact for inquiries about Solink’s Products and Services for these same types of customers.
You will conduct thorough initial discovery and qualification of leads, ensuring alignment with Solink’s target customer profile before passing to an Account Executive.
You will attend trade shows and conferences to showcase the value of Solink, fostering relationships and generating interest among potential clients.
You will leverage modern sales tools including LinkedIn, Gong, Loom, Infotelligent and Hubspot to enhance outreach effectiveness and streamline communication. Maintain an accurate and updated log of CRM data by recording all activity touches ensuring a comprehensive record of interactions with leads and prospects.
You will actively book meetings with targeted accounts and qualified prospects to facilitate the sales process and contribute to pipeline growth. Engage in proactive outbound outreach through cold emails, calls and social touches to generate new leads and expand the Solink customer base.
You will collaborate closely with Account Executives to strategize outreach efforts, share insights and collectively work towards generating new business opportunities.
