You will be responsible for setting the technical direction, influencing engineering culture, and solving the most complex challenges facing our platform.Responsibilities will include:● Work directly with the CTO and be a key-decision maker and contributor to our technical vision and strategy● Lead the architecture and design of the most critical systems and features● Provide technical expertise and guidance to the entire organization● Identify and solve for critical system failures and deficiencies● Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to align technical initiatives with business goals● Drive innovation by researching and implementing new technologies and approachesWho you are:● Mastery with Python or TypeScript, comfortable picking up any language● Proven expertise in designing and building large-scale, high-performance systems● Deep knowledge of distributed systems, and cryptographic principles● Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization● Proven ability to balance short-term needs with long-term goals● Deep understanding and experience with blockchain technology and distributed systems● A passion for technology and a track record of driving innovationAt Newton, we celebrate our inclusive work environment and welcome members of all backgrounds and perspectives to apply.
