Job Description:
Lower is searching for an accountable, multitalented data engineer to facilitate the operations of our data analysts. To ensure success as a data engineer, you should demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and the capacity to receive and utilize constructive criticism. A formidable data engineer will demonstrate unsatiated curiosity and outstanding interpersonal skills.
What you'll do:
- Design and enhance denormalized analytics tables in Snowflake to support flexible reporting and querying
- Requirements gathering with business and sales stakeholders
- Design and maintain effective data pipelines.
- Create scalable ETL processes, ensuring standard tables built from heterogeneous sources
- Optimize existing frameworks, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and delivery
- Collaborate directly with developers during feature design to ensure key data points are stored in application databases
- Develop, document, and execute ETL and pipeline unit tests
Who you are:
- 3-5 years as a Data Engineer
- Experience as a Data Analyst or Software Engineer a plus
- Strong Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Strong Proficiency in DBT
- Strong Familiarity with Snowflake
- Familiarity with BI Tools. Domo Preferred, Tableau or Power BI also useful
- Excellent Analytical and data-modeling skills
- Ability to manage a pipeline of duties with minimal supervision
