The Retail Associate Team Lead role is responsible for managing retail staff, meeting sales and profitability goals, and aiding in the success of the retail store.
Duties & Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities for the role are:
- Understand all CampSaver products and be able to effectively communicate that knowledge with customers.
- Manage Retail staff including all scheduling.
- Assist customers with exchanges and returns.
- Be able to recommend gear and apparel.
- Be a contributing team member who can provide input for improvement.
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
- Deal with issues that arise with customers.
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
- Previous retail experience, including managerial responsibilities, required
- Experience with point-of-sale systems setup and an understanding of warehouse management systems preferred
- Must be available for weekend and holiday shifts as requested.
- Good attendance and performance record in previous positions.
- Ability to perform tasks with accuracy and organization skills.
- Background in outdoor recreation, i.e. climbing, backpacking, hiking, camping, trail running, skiing preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team is essential
- Great interpersonal skills when dealing with customers
- Works well under pressure
- Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions which call for multiple different actions based upon product/descriptions, product quantities, product sizes and similar information.
- Ability to sustain high level of physical activity related to typing, seeing, hearing, repetitive motion, lifting, carrying, pushing, and moving a high volume of products and cartons which weigh up to 50 pounds is required.
- Ability to sit, stand, twist, turn, bend, climb stairs, manual dexterity, and walking required, for entire shift duration or up 8 hours.
- You must be a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
