Exterro is looking for an experienced Director of Sales - Federal Government. The ideal candidate for this individual contributor role will have a solid understanding of selling into Federal government agencies and demonstrate a consistent track record of exceeding pipeline build and sales objectives. Experience working with federal focused partners, resellers, and system integrators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop effective relationships with partners and integrators to develop pipeline within Federal government agencies
- Selling to Federal agencies, integrators, intelligence community and Defense Sector our software as a subscription or service
- Achieve quarterly and annual quotas as set forth by management
- Maximize sales productivity through consistent use of defined sales processes
- Accurate forecasting, tracking, and reporting within Salesforce
- Demonstrate competency in the growing E-Discovery, Forensics and Privacy marketplace
- Represent Exterro at industry events
- Partner with Business Development Representatives, Channel Director, and other internal resources to build out the territory
Skills and Experience:
- Based in the DC Metro area (Virginia, DC, Maryland)
- 5+ years successful field sales experience within the Federal Market
- Background in eDiscovery, Forensics or Data Privacy, Security & Governance software solution selling
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Exterro’s value
- Must be organized, detail and process oriented
- Track record of working closely with customers to produce solutions that exceed their business expectations in a rapidly evolving technology domain
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues
- Full understanding of the US Government’s acquisition processes and IT budget planning
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, web conferencing tools, and salesforce.com
- Travel both locally and nationally for Trade Shows, customer and Headquarters visits (25-50%)
- Excellent balance of strategic and tactical skills
- Existing relationships within the Federal Government, its industry partners, and System Integrator community

As a remote first organization, our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The salary range for this remote position is $125,000-$150,000 per year, based on skills, experience and qualifications.
The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Exterro is a total compensation company, and this role may be eligible for variable pay, equity, bonus and/or other forms of compensation as part of the package.
