OverviewThe Development Manager works to ensure effective daily operations of the Development Department to advance the work and mission of Health Care for the Homeless. The Development Manager has primary responsibility for the quality and integrity of the constituent relationship management system (CRM), provides project management leadership and supports the coordination of donor engagement activities. The Development Manager also works in partnership across several key departments to implement the annual development plan.Key Role Responsibilities
- Supervises the Development Associate. Sets and reinforces clear expectations, monitors outcomes, creates a culture of open communication, and helps team members solve complex problems through individual supervision.
- Collaborates in donor retention and acquisition performance analysis and performance improvement strategies with an emphasis on direct response
- Provides project management and coordinating support to implement departmental strategies and initiatives
- Ensures the Salesforce CRM is accurate and up to date. Oversees data quality assurance, training of new team members, report generation and audits
- Conducts monthly reconciliation with Finance
- Generates reports on departmental metrics and performance
- In partnership with the IT department, researches, implements and maintains departmental-specific technology (online payment systems, project management software, e.g.)
- Assists the Director of Development to develop and monitor key department initiatives designed to support the work of the agency.

- Protects clients’ personal health information by maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other relevant health care-related IT security regulations
- Performs other duties on an as-needed basis
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Formal Education and Training
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Associates degree plus five years of relevant work experience may be substituted
- Certification or demonstrated experience in Project management
- Experience using MS Office Suite
- Experience using Salesforce
Experience
- Four years in fundraising required
- Two years of experience supervising staff required.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Experience using advanced functions of a CRM (e.g. building queries, designing reports, making system-wide changes) required; Salesforce experience preferred
- Experience using project management software preferred
- Experience building campaigns and donation forms using an online fundraising platform (i.e. Classy, Qgiv) preferred
