General Summary - The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating the best possible impression of the Design Studio by means of graphic media, making sure the Design Studio’s branding is consistent, clear, and impactful.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive the Design Studio’s successful establishment, operations and hand-over using proactive management, leadership, and collaboration skills. • Focus is the business’ routine graphic collateral, media platforms, media-graphics collateral, awareness campaigns, digital library, and website portal / interactive tools.
Typical Work Activities
• Working with other Design Studio team members and the Client Stakeholders to distill requirements. • Conceptualizing visual options and presenting draft ideas to fulfill requirements followed by garnering consensus on the Design Studio’s brand identity & graphics standards (across all media platforms). • Producing a coordinated digital library (that also aligns with printed collateral) of visual brand identity graphics (themes, colors, fonts, shapes, layout-composition, photographic images, software generated graphics etc.) and templates (letterhead, memos, transmittals, reports, manuals, PowerPoint presentations, e-mail, social media account, website, etc.).
Revising the designs based on client feedback until approved. • Preparing and developing the Graphical Content Work Plan, Manuals, Methodologies and Tools for Implementation of the IT-Digital Portal, Media, Advertising & Training Systems. • Detailing the visual design of Multi-media, Advertising-Awareness & all other Programs that require or will be enhanced by complementing graphical content. • Creating the Design Studio’s Digital Graphics Library. • Interactively demonstrating, online, the Graphics Library with the Client and debugging it afterward. • Preparing designs for visual digital materials and interactive digital tools to assist in understanding urban identities via the Design Studio digital platform. Providing necessary online Advertisement Material. Including external and guiding signboards [Nos. 6], Identification manuals and publications [Nos. 10] and Studio and directives definitional videos [Nos. 2] for [30-90 seconds each]. • Preparing the graphics for different Awareness Campaigns to introduce the digital aspects of the Design Studio Urban Identity [5-7 Campaigns].
Minimum Skills and Characteristics
• Creative and artistic yet practical. • Ability to deliver high quality results on time/on budget in a fast-paced environment. • Mastery of industry-standard software to create visually appealing brand identity and graphic standards including logos, promotional-administrative-digital collateral, etc. (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, etc.). • Proficient in developing the overall layout and production design for various media including websites, advertisements, printed collateral, and other relevant media.
• Proficient in creating dynamically engaging added-value images that accompany written text for presentations, reports, etc. • The ability to clearly communicate the reasoning behind design choices. • Demonstrated understanding and experience in the development and management of digital online platforms including logic and processes. • Proficient in all typical Microsoft Office Applications, MS Project, MS Visio, Adobe Acrobat. • Proficient in managing & engaging via MS Teams. • Fluent in Arabic both oral and written. • English language proficiency, both oral and written • Excellent Client-facing skills. • Clear, concise & confident in communicating ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate clients and clearly communicate the reasoning behind design options. • Demonstrated track record of balanced self-actualizer and collaborator skills. • Demonstrated track record of issues and decisions ownership & accountability.
Additional Desirable Skills & Characteristics
• GCC experience, especially KSA • Experience as an Advertising Art Director combing visual media with printed copy and/or spoken script. • Ability to create colored concept presentation sketches by hand. • Proficiency in Google Forms and Microsoft Forms apps. Minimum Educational Credentials:Undergraduate or Graduate Degrees in Art, Design, Fine Arts, Advertising-Branding or Marketing (with a compelling portfolio of projects showcasing skills relevant to the details of this job description)
