Job Summary:


Responsible for repairs, disposition and quality assurance testing of all purchased parts, returned parts, and core exchanges resulting from the activities of RSTI and Exchange. Also responsible for in-house deinstallations and installations, system maintenance and maintaining SAP accuracy.  

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Prepare machines for testing to include but not limited to installing detectors, prepping computers for testing, installing and operating machines for testing of component/assemblies.
  • Repair parts from the exchange/return area and training labs according to OEM procedure
  • Maintain a consistent inventory according to minimal stock levels
  • Achieves and/or succeeds individual goals as set by management
  • Test all returns that are received and assess if they need to be repaired or inventoried
  • Test all parts that are repaired
  • Complete all necessary production orders, work orders, and service call forms
  • Utilize the Huntron to map, and record values
  • Install/deinstall equipment in house for exchange and training
  • Occasionally unload/load trucks
  • Occasionally assist in packing, and shipping parts
  • Cleaning and prepping completed parts for inventory
  • Maintain lab area in cleanliness and organization
  • Assist in entering information into SAP as needed
  • Perform PM’s, Calibrations, Safety inspections on imaging equipment in compliance with established OEM standards in house for exchange and training.
  • Maintain functionality of test bay units for parts testing
  • Technical support within the Repair Lab Technicians expertise
  • Maintain QC documentation for all parts repaired
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Conducts and compiles with ISO requirements
  • Understanding of multiple computer Operating Systems such as Windows, Linux, Redhat, Solaris8 and Solaris 10.
  • Understanding of ISO requirements and compliance.
  • Working ability to read and understand schematics and prints.
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to effectively repair circuit boards, power supplies, electro-mechanical and mechanical devices
  • Must be a self-starter and proactive.

Education and Experience:


  • Associates degree in Biomedical equipment technology or military training preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience can be substituted.
  • Formal radiology training and/or certification: CBET, CRES, OEM Certifications, etc.
