Community Outreach Specialist
Location: Los Angeles, CA Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000
As a Community Outreach Specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting Nazareth House Los Angeles to potential participants and community agencies. Under the direction of the Marketing Director, you will coordinate outreach events, build relationships within the community, and represent our organization as a vital resource for senior care. What You’ll Do:
Attend company-provided in-service education programs, including orientation, skill training, and continuing education.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, presentations, educational events, health fairs, and internal events.
Handle event logistics, including booking venues, arranging refreshments, coordinating virtual events, and arranging photography.
Build and maintain ongoing relationships with individuals and agencies to ensure a clear understanding of the company as a key community resource.
Maintain an accurate database of community contacts and manage marketing materials distribution.
Provide bi-weekly reports to the Marketing Director on goal achievement, call counts, and event results.
Schedule and perform facility tours for potential new residents. These tours could take place during the weekend, it is dependent on the resident’s availability to tour.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a health/human services field, or a high school diploma with relevant experience.
1 year of experience in field marketing or an information and referral resource role, particularly in the senior network.
Strong public speaking and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent event planning and coordination abilities.
Knowledge of senior care, local community health and social services, and aging networks.
Basic understanding of financing mechanisms such as Medi-Cal and Medicare is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data management systems.
Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred but not required.

Compensation: Salary range between $65,000 - $70,000, may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on individual and the company’s performance.
